ELY is a Cathedral City and is situated in the north east corner of Cambridgeshire. It stands proudly in the centre of the fens with the historic Cathedral standing out as a landmark that can be seen, and admired, for miles around. Although ELY is a well developed community it still retains that traditional charm and welcoming feeling that comes from its historic roots.

Ely provides an excellent range of facilities for day to day shopping and benefits from both the convenience of several major stores as well as traditional local family-run businesses. There are many small shops providing a wealth of interest as well as a general market held every week. Ely has a good range of schools catering for children of all ages and various sporting, social and recreational activities. Ely has superb road links with the main A10 road network providing easy access to Cambridge (approximately 15 miles), which in turn links with the A14 and M11 motorway to London. Ely also has a mainline rail service which provides a rail link to Cambridge and London (approximately 70 miles) and it is this that has led to the rapid residential growth that has taken place over the last few years.
